Apparently one of the many functions of the Multi-Function Unit is to allow the car to start. when this thing is unplugged and the key is turned, the fuel pump comes on, but the starter doesn't budge when the key is turned...
I have not yet had a chance to crawl under the car yet to manually apply voltage to the solenoid, but I kind of have my doubts.
It seems a shame to have to keep the big fuse panel and MFU just to be able to start the car. there has to be a way around it...
Anyone have ideas for me before I set off on a wild goose chase?
edit: incidentally, my ETM does not make any mention of the MFU at all. It talks about the spider, which my vehicle doesn't have.
