I'll start, I wheeled. We had a bone stock 80, my 800, and 2 lightly modified SIIs.

The real highlight was the huge amount of oncomming motorcycle traffic on our trail. Who knew the motor cycle rider's association was having the their annual Poker Run on the same trail in a different direction:eek:

Not the weekend but Weds-friday drove 1700 miles round trip, dropped off Tom Manderas new racer in Billings Montana at Jetfxers and then drove out to no where and dug out a 1936 C-30 that had been sitting since the 1950's in the same spot and hauled it home to Colorado to add to the collection.

Drove 1200 miles round trip to California to pickup my lil' brothers Scout II for a long over due mini rebuild/repair/fix up.

Now the fun begins -- trying to wedge 2 Scouts into my garage. And the actual work of fixing it all up.

WTF is your brother thinking? Has he SEEN your rig?

I didn't get as much accomplished as I wanted to, go figure. I finished up the spring perches and U-bolt plates for my new front axle. Then I bolted everything together so I can set pinion angle and castor. Haven't decided exactly how I want to measure all that crap so I quit there. I also mailed my Naches files to HOS today.

He hasn't seen it in person in years... :D And he is 8500 miles away so he can't really object when I get out the sawzall and cutting torch!

But seriously I do know more about IH's than any of the places he took it over the last few years. Hell knowing that you time them off #8 puts me a leg up on most of the places :shaking:

Friday met the lady for happy hour drinks and appetizers.

Saturday we hung out in Seattle proper all day...the weather was waaayayyyy too nice to do anything else.

Sunday I washed the turd up. I hadn't washed it since Naches and with the mud it got last weekend wheeling...it looked like a turd. I also needed to get it as clean as possible before I park it for the projects I have planned. I hate wrenching on a dirty shit box.

Sunday night we went to Cheesecake Factory to get our fat on.

That's a sweet looking rig, to nice to be a brush wheeler.

Went camping Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. No Scout, no wheeling, just kicking back listening to the waves crash on the beach. MacKerricher state park, near Fort Bragg:smokin:

wheeled and broke some crap.

First....slammed front on a rock and buckled the frame where the front leaf mount used to be
Second....rear driveshaft CV exploded
third....blew Detroit in front axle.

That was a fun obstacle!

Everything went to shit over the weekend. Been copying DVDs to the computer so we can hook up the computer to the tv and not need all the DVDs in the living room. Sounds like a good idea, but how to connect them? Went to Best Buy for a new video card, didn't know which one I needed so I had to go home and pull the one out of my computer and take it in. Ended up buying a blu-ray drive and apple tv, found out the blu-ray drive was SATA and I need IDE, so that had to go back, found out the apple tv only has connections for component, so that had to go back.

The hard drive in my laptop died.

Went to the garage to do the disk brake conversion on my rear axle and had a hard time getting one bolt in. Ran it through from the other side, no problem, but when I put it in the correct side it fawked up the threads on the bolt, so now I need a tap to clean it.

Went to my storage locker to make room for my motorcycles. Pulled out all the stuff that was behind the SII so I could move it back. Put a good battery in, turned the key and heard a pop. Then I saw smoke coming up from the dash. Pulled the battery out and pushed the fucker back with my Jeep.

Suck ass weekend.

You can get SATA to IDE adapters.

But mostly.. what I think you want/need to do is go buy an original version XBOX console (I just bought another for $60 at a pawn shop).. then research "softmod" and "XBMC" for XboxMediaCenter.

Share your "ISO" or DivX (ripped DVD) directory off your computer, and XBMC will map to it and "play" your stuff to your TV.

Get the Xbox DVD remote and it even seems like it belongs.

It wasn't the H3. Actually a friend tore up his Jeep, very badly, trying to keep up with the H3 at the Zombiefest! :smokin: The H3 kicked ass out wheeling.

The :jeep: Icon, that I posted is a clue as to what I was wheeling. I did almost roll it too. :homer: The owner of the rig did shit his pants, so it was worth it.

Unfortunately I sinned in the presence of other Scout owners and wheelers. I talked smack to them too. :shaking: There was pics taken that I will STONGLY disavow.
I'm deeply ashamed and won't do it again.......... well at least for the next two weeks. :D

Please don't stone me! :flipoff2:

I have a PS3. I have found out that I can install a larger hd in the PS3, or I can use an external as long as I format it to FAT32. I have 206 gig worth of video on it now, and more to go.

All of my DVDs are ripped to MPEG-4, as that format plays in Ipods, Zunes, PSPs, etc. Using the PS3 to host it all is nice as I don't have to fool with searching for a movie, only to find that it's not in it's box or not even on the shelf.

Moved some stuff to Bernes. Worked. Did some dezert riding. Jerked off. Typical weekend:shaking:

I have 3 Xboxes and 1 PS3 and use all 4 as "front ends" with a MythTV back end and well over a Terrabyte of storage. The PS3 is the only HD front end. I also use a computer and 17" monitor in the shop to "watch TV" too.

I use the Myth/Linux box as the backend so I can have all of my media available at any TV (and at my Phone and Nokia tablet or the wife's IPod)

(Edit for BinderBound)

On the bigger-nerd front, installed and tuned my HF vertical antenna and worked 3 continents on Sunday.. this morning I found some jerk off decided to mangle my aluminum shrine so more Scout money just went to replacement antenna parts.. and I installed my long-overdue security camera.

But on the redneck front, I tack welded the new spring hangers onto my gooseneck, and I drove my '73 Scout II on Sunday.

If you are into Myth TV you gotta know my friend Geoff --- He was big time into building his/helping host the a web page on it/etc 4 years ago...

I still remember in the early stages -- he'd be at my house and his wife would call and say the TV 'broke again' -- he'd talk her through rebooting and typing some Linux command and she'd be watching her recorded soaps in no time.

"knock on wood" but my MythTV installation has been running with nary a hiccup for 4 years or so IIRC.

3 PVR150/250 cards, one primary backend (2 PVR250s), one secondary (single PVR150) and a third that just adds some HP when desired.

Michelle uses MythWeb to manage her own shows n' such, I auto-transcode shows for her Ipod, and with the Xbox (and PS3) interfaces, it's pretty user friendly at the TV end of things.
