Ok, I am hoping to put on 31/12.5/15 tires. What backspacing should I be looking for in a rim? 3.5"?

3.5" might work for 31s. For 33x12.5s you need to reverse the wheel out more to clear the springs when turning.

first, yes you can fit 30"s with a shackle lift, my brothers sj410 has a 2" longer shackle and 33"s........ mind you i cut the fawk out of it to get them on cause he wants it kept as low as possible.....

I'd go with 15x8 wheels with 2" backspacing. That way you have room to grow. :D ~Steve
