I want to weld on some gusseting or something to make my front cover gring over rocks without hitting the bolts. JEEPRZ 10-23-2001, 10:41 AM I welded something similar to this onto the cover, then ground the housing smooth, even with the 'ramp', to eliminate any sharp or protruding edges. It does seem to help when plowing over rocks FRIZZLEFRY 10-23-2001, 11:44 AM No,its not a dog dish!! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> Its 1/4"x1.5" flat stock,heated,bent,and welded together.The front is 4 pieces.Its tough.Its taken some good hits with only scratches to show for it.It also acts as sort of a ramp and helps to slide over stuff. FRIZZLEFRY 10-23-2001, 02:18 PM Not much to see on the back side,just a few weld beads and the flange that the bolts go through.Iv made a couple more that the front is 1 piece and they take a little less time to build.I have one I just finished at my house that I can take a pic of .
