What's the torque for the castle nuts?
Three of them are larger than the ptiman arm one, so I guess I need two values.
Thanks,

I have 1 ton Ford ends and I just tighten them up until they seat well. About as tight as I can get it with a hand wrench. Then turn the nut to match up the hole and insert pin. I check them a few days later to see if they've worked loose or seated further and need tightening. Hasn't failed me yet.

I thought hand tight was a real torque setting:flipoff2:

I looked in the manual for a balzer and it said torque spec is half of bigdudes hand torque. that would make the torque what a normal person can handle. :flipoff2: Really, that is how I do mine and hasn't failed me either. That's what the pin is for.

My manual states 45 ft-lbs, but I install them like already mentioned.

Thanks a lot.
Guess I shouldn't have hit them with 115 last night when I was guessing
Think I damaged them with that high a torque? Don't want them to be stretched and snap...

Dude, don't encourage him. Pound for pound, I'd keep up torque wise with him, even if he is 1.5 times the size of me... That big-mofo :flipoff2:
My motto: Tighten if until it strips, then back off 1/4 turn :D. Like said above, that's what the pin is for
