The cheapest I've found 1.5"x0.120" DOM in my area (Eureka) is $5.76ft. This really seems like too much money to me. I'd really hate to spend upwards of $400-$500 in material for a basic cage and sliders. Whats everybody else paying around Nor-Cal? Haven't checked on HREW yet but I'm considering it too.

They've been cheapest, to bad no DOM... good plate prices too.

I paid around $2.50 a foot for 1 3/4" .120 HREW a few months ago from Eureka Boiler Works. That was for 140 feet. I don't remember the price they quoted on DOM but I think it was close to twice as much.

Call Marmon Keystone in SAC. I was on the phone the last 2 days trying to get a good price on DOM and they had it.

I have a wholesale account at Van Bebber in Petaluma and I pay $2.20 a foot for 1.5" .120 wall, and they can order me DOM. Last time I got DOM I think it was under $4 a foot. They have chromoly in stock right now. I just bought some 1.5", 1.625" and 1.75" for between $6 and $8 a foot.

Theres another place, I think B&B Steel? In Ukiah. Both are still a bit far from Eureka. My Uncle lives up there though I can ask him where he gets steel.

Metal Craft Warehouse never gets mentioned on this board, and Im not sure why. Allen is a SUPER guy, and has great prices. He doesnt even carry HREW right now, because the prices are so low, he can sell DOM cheaper.
Quoted me $3.25/ft for 1.625x.120 DOM last week. He sells steel prices are plummetting(sp?) big time.

Im looking for the best price in Sac. for DOM 1 3/4 and 1 1/2. If anyone has puchased some DOM, let me know what you paid or let me know who has the best deal . Also I know raw steel has dropped in the last few months and do any of you guys think manufactured steel will drop in prices in the future. Thanks:homer:

Metal Craft Warehouse is open Saturdays 8:00-2:00 or so.

I used to get material from ABC Supply until they screwed me by not getting my order together and delivering it the day I had asked for, even with several days notice. I believe Metal Craft Warehouse has better prices anyway.
