How do you like the ground hawgs? I got a set of 38.5 15 for 220.00 dollars off some show truck guy. They seem great in the rocks but I have never taken them in mud.

Get rig of those wide ass wheels. Drop down to an 8" wide rim and you'll have much better results.

yeah i kinda figured that. i ended up just running full pressure and welded the rear end and dont worry about it anymore.

with a steel wheel you can air down to half of what an aluminum wheel can....
and no 16.5's of course...

Yup. I run 38x12.50 SX on 8" steelies. I've had the bead burp till the tire was flat, but the tire hasn't even popped off the safety bead

x2, I run 33"x12.5"x15"s on a 7" wide rim and have run them down to 5psi without losing a bead.

just get bead locks on a 12 wide rim and then you wouldn't have to even worry about it. OBA is always a good idea also.

only problem with runing bead locks like the weld on ones they add another inch or so to the rim. so now its a 13'' rim, but your atleast locked on the outer beed.

You can run H1's with the stock width (8.25") and no problems with wide tires.....makes them a bit narrower and taller.....but they'll stay on.

i've had 8" wide trail ready beadlocks burp enough that i lost an inner bead with 37x13 boggers. i need to silicone the inner bead to the wheel.

Boggers are bad about that.

You could re-center them.

And then you wouldn't have to worry about your backspacing with the 7.5"s the H1s have.
