: Rancho 9000 shock question

OK.....So here's the scenario. At full stuff in the front end, the springs hit the nut on the bottom of the pitman arm and I cant steer.
So my question is,

Would the Rancho 9012's take the abuse if I just lower my shock mounts and have them bottom out before the spring hits? Or is that too much stress on the shocks?

Why not just build some bump stops on the bottom of the frame that hit the u-bolt plate? :flipoff2:

Well, that was my first thought, but then I got to thinking that it may look kinda cheesy.

Sorry man, I've been around long enough to know alotta board history.

Anyways I wouldn't think that the shock end was designed for that kind of use. I'd just do it up with bumpstops if it were me.
