" 42RLE Rubi-Crawler
Our prototypes are finished and on their way to next week's SEMA show in Las Vegas. As of right now we do not have a projected retail cost for the units; however we are taking pre orders. The pre order is a no money down, no strings attached offer, so if you are interested in the Rubi-Crawler please call Advance Adapters today and ask to be put on the pre order list. This will secure your spot as one of the first to own the new crawling phenomenon for TJ’s & JK’s known as the Rubi-Crawler. "

Thats pretty cool. Is this the one that bolts on in place of the tail housing? What are the chances they will build one for an xj?

So is this Advance Adapters version of a Klune V or is it meant to be used in conjunction with an AtlasII .....kind of like the 231 crawl box goes with a D300 ?

From AA's site.

Jeep TJ & JK owners with the 42RLE, 4 speed overdrive automatic listen up! Do you dream of having multiple 4wd low ranges just like the latest and greatest after market transfer cases without having to sacrifice your bank account or prep your Jeep for some major retro-fit surgery?
Advance Adapters is proud to release the Rubi-Crawler. This new reduction unit replaces the stock 42RLE tailhousing with a 6 pinion planetary assembly featuring a 2.72:1 low range. This is a true bolt-in doubler that couples to the stock Jeep transfer case or an existing Atlas 2 speed.

Had to go look and see if they had any details, and thats all I found. Too bad it wont work for my wife's rubi, she got the manual tranny. Oh well.

I spoke with the rep during the offroad expo about doing a crawl box that would replace the tail housing of the AX-15 and still house the shift linkage going to the tranny. Turned out, the ax-15 tranny has to much going on in the tail shaft housing to work. Cheaper to buy a 4 speed atlas vs the custom work on modding my tranny.

cool product though

Looks like you could make it work with a 23 spline AW4 without too much work - maybe that's next?
