: Full Floater Axle housing Jig
66CJdean 10-31-2008, 04:00 PM These are made to support the spindle for axle housing narrowing of Dana 60's, 70's or GM 14 Bolt housings. They also fit the Dana 60 front spindles too. They are turned from solid 7075 so the threads are true to the bore so your alignment is right-on. After one housing you have them paid for. The photo shows the FF jigs on top of the carrier cap jigs.
$250 for the pr
Add $85 for a pr of carrier pucks
Add $200 for an 84" heat treated, hard chrome plated, jig bar.
Or $425 for the whole kit.
Semifloat kit goes for $325

These work great!!! I have a set from him that I bought probably 7 years ago and still use them to this day. Great, easy to use product, that makes building custom width rear ends pretty much fool proof. :)

Glad you like them. These are now 7075 rather than 6061 so I expect the life span to be even greater than ever. I built my first set of these about 10 years ago and still use them today.

Do you have anything for Sterling 10.25?
66CJdean 11-03-2008, 12:20 PM Not sure if they fit or not. I wouldn't doubet it but you would have to do some measuring for me find out spindle OD and carrier cap OD.
PAToyota 11-04-2008, 03:23 PM How about for a Ford 9"?
AggieTJ2007 11-04-2008, 07:31 PM I could use a set for ford nine large bearing carrier to use with 1.500 shaft
66CJdean 11-05-2008, 02:06 PM I could use a set for ford nine large bearing carrier to use with 1.500 shaft
$325 for the semifloat jig set. The ones for the housing ends fit both set 10 and set 20 bearings.

Just mic your bar and let me know what it is so I can send you the right one. I have a few different sizes but all 1.500 to 1.509 is the span. I am willing to sell just one and that is $150
Azzy2000 11-07-2008, 10:26 AM Very nice. Exactly what I've been looking for. I will be ordering soon.

Magnum_Willys 01-11-2009, 04:59 PM How about a paragraph on how you or others use these ? Does your bar go all the way across ?
Booger Weldz 01-11-2009, 10:37 PM dean, what do you charge to narrow a rear end? i could probably get away with lopping one side off/ weld new spindle and resplining the existing shaft(dana70)... thanks
66CJdean 01-14-2009, 08:49 AM dean, what do you charge to narrow a rear end? i could probably get away with lopping one side off/ weld new spindle and resplining the existing shaft(dana70)... thanks
You will need a replacement shaft or find one from the junkyard that is the width you want that we can cut to. stock full float shafts are not resplineable due to the kneck down. One side is $150.
I'll send a quote with shipping on that jig bar set up.
66CJdean 01-14-2009, 09:00 AM How about a paragraph on how you or others use these ? Does your bar go all the way across ?
Yes the jig bar goes all the way through the housing. You have to pucks that go in the carrier caps and then two for the outers. The full floater jigs thread onto the spindles and then you slip them on the bar or if you have a semifloat there are two other pucks that slip into the housing ends and then slide them onto the bar.
SPEEDCRAVIN 02-06-2009, 08:25 PM I need a set of your Jigs,,, I sent you a PM
Thanks, JOSH
Freshman 02-08-2009, 09:03 AM can I get a price shipped to 95401 for the hole kit.
Thanks Eric
66CJdean 02-08-2009, 02:21 PM I assume you are talking about the FF kit. Since you are close shipping is only $21 so $446 total. The FF jigs I have right now are steel not aluminum if that matters to you. I started making some steel one since that is what some people had asked me to do.
can I get a price shipped to 95401 for the hole kit.
Thanks Eric

mrqtipp 03-06-2009, 05:13 PM bump for a great product
Mh4Runner 03-23-2009, 04:42 PM Since the bar is 1.5", am I going to be able to use this on FF Dana 60's that the spindles are the stock bore?
Do your pucks do just one axle each, or are they stepped to do 2?
Mh4Runner 03-25-2009, 10:45 AM Thanks for taking the time to get me a custom bar for 1.25" with pucks to match. After repeatedly attempting to get ahold of another vendor, it was nice to have you answer the phone the first time. - Matt

Dean
zachv 10-18-2009, 08:17 PM BTT so I can find this next week when I need to order.
66CJdean 11-13-2009, 12:57 AM I just made some jigs so I have most everything on the shelf. The latest jigs are F'ing wide so there is plenty of bearing surface to keep everything streight.
Jeep07 11-15-2009, 08:54 PM You have any pics of how all this stuff works together? I've never built a custom axle before and have an idea on how the kit works but would like to see pics.
thx
66CJdean 11-23-2009, 12:40 PM No I can't say that I do. So here goes: the carrier needs to be out so you can then take the pucks that will be bolted into the spots that the carrier bearings go. This is what alighns the jig bar to get centerline of the axles. Then you thread the full floater spindles onto the FF jigs and slide them onto the jig bar up to the housing. Align the ends if needed and then tack weld them on and then I do 2 or more weld passes to fully weld them on. Let it all cool and then unthread the FF jigs, slide the bar out, and remove the carrier puck jigs. Hope that works for you. If you are working on a semifloat rear then the pucks for those ends just slip into the housing ends but work the same way.
Dean
toywelder 12-22-2009, 08:26 AM so do you have any thing you us toyota guys ?
66CJdean 04-13-2010, 04:43 PM Toy is no problem. I have carrier jigs that work for 4cyl and 6cyl and then you just have to tell me what you want to do for the ends.
jeepmaster03 08-16-2010, 09:18 PM Dean, I visited your website and tried to use your contact form to see about ordering the tooling for FF 14 bolt, but the message got kicked back to me as undeliverable. Are you still selling these? I've also got a D60 front to narrow to match. Can you help me there as well with the tooling?
UPDATE: I hooked up with Dean and I just want to say that he's a real nice guy and was really cool to talk with. He is still making jigs, and I placed an order today. I'll chime in with an update after they get shipped in. Thanks Dean!
66CJdean 08-18-2010, 09:36 PM Thanks for the kind words. All you stuff was sent out today.
