I've been looking at a bunch of pics with full width axles, but I would specifically like to get a picture of a YJ with a HP D44 narrowed to 65" WMS-WMS with 15x8 backspaced wheels. Any comments on how close your hubs are to being outside the wheels would be helpfull.

The D44 has chevy inners with ford 5 on 5.5" outers.

I'm thinking of trading my quad for a hp d44/9" combo that is 65" wms-wms but I'd still like to be able to drive it on the street. If my calculations are correct I'm thinking the hubs will stick out of the wheels outer edge using a 15x8" wheel with 4" BS.

My final tire diameter will be 36x12.50 or 35x10.50 Tsl's.

my tires stick out about 1.5" right now with 15x10 and 4" BS wheels wrapped with 32x11.50's, so going 4.5" over the stock width would more than likely net me a ticket in a short amount of time!

i run full width hp44/9 on my YJ. I've driven that thing everywhere on the street from Spokane, WA to Los Angeles a couple times over and never had a problem w/ cops. I have the standard wagon wheels and they are 15x10 with 4"-4.5" backspacing and 37x12.5 Goodyear MTR. The hubs don't stick out at all.

If you haven't swapped your transfer case, then I think you mean ford inners and chevy outers. I have pics, but I'm not a star

its a ford axle with chev knuckles and spindles and ford outers, to clarify.

I'd be interested in seeing a pic from the front of your rig so can see how it looks with the 15x10's!

just to clarify I'm assuming your talking waggy WT. whats the round about width at the outside of the tire.

That looks really good and definently streetable! Min already has the wide flares on it, it looks as though your hubs dont stick out at all or are just really close to the edge, have you had any issues hitting them or anything.

80-83 Waggy length inners .....approx 65" WMS-WMS....yup.

The hubs dont stick out, they sit back about a inch or so.....I think?? ok maybe a little less than an inch?
Just got in, I'll measure the width and that tomorrow.

Havent had any issues hittin' them though.
:D

D60 hubs in the back sit out a tiny bit more , I've rubbed those only once or twice.

Did you move the centering pin locations in about 9/16" on each side? I think that's what I need to do in order for my Ford d44 to work with factory YJ spring width.
