Is anyone running this combo.???

I already did a search and found nothing with specific information for my situation.

It appears that my tierod and draglink are parallel and there is no room to move the axle any further forward.

I have installed a 1.5 inch body lift and I don't mind doing a little body work to make things clear.....

I didn't use the allpro, but used a piece of 2x6x0.250 for the relocation. I split the extra width between the weld, and a little more room forward. An extra inch to work with both ways. Hope this helps.

dude, those springs are like 5.5" lift on a toy, plus the drop hanger, whatever shackle you run and your 1.5" bodylift your at like ~8+ inches. WAY too high!!! ive got a 2 inch bodylift, 3 inch allpro springs that actually give about 2" and the all poop hanger, ive got 38's without any clearance issues...keep it low or you wont have any fun on a real trail....

im sorry ididnt read your whole post correctly, you can move the steering box about 2.5-2.75 inches forward if your willing to trim into the radiator core support and the body mount on the frame. this will solve your tierod/draglink issues and allow the axle to come further forward, ive got mine like ~3.75" forward with the allpoop offset center pin and the perches drilled way back with some additional metal added to it...

I agree there. I run a 1.5" drop hanger 44044's with the bottom leaf removed (which didn't do to much really) and a 1" shackle and I don't have much rubbing at all with 37" MTR's. I have 5.5" AP rears with 2 leaves removed and it's a good inch lower in the rear, but I might take one more out of the front as well. All in all I like my setup, but I don't have anyone around me with anything else either. :flipoff2:

I have a set of Stock Waggy springs, off a 85, will they fit on my 84 Toyota, or will I have to modify any thing to make them fit??

i beleive the waggy springs are ~47" long(more than the stock fronts, but can be addressed merely with a longer shackle?? but the rancho part #44044 is a 2.5" lift spring for the wagoneer, so a nice set of saggy stockers should sit nice?? im lazy and just bought the allpro springs cause it was idiot proof:D

I just mounted the 44044's w/ a 2"x6" hanger and about another 1.5" added to where the springs actually mount and w/ 3" shackles and I could run 44s with NO fender rubbing. I put 38/15.5x15 Dick Cepeck's on and under some heavy flex they didn't rub at all!! All this with the axle about 1" forward than stock(more like .5" forward)

Heavy as flex as you can get with out the motor in and the rear susp. completely stock. Oh by the way this is on a 92' pickup

I am sorry. I was not clear.

I am trying to get 38's to fit under my truck.

I currently have the AllPro 5 inch springs up front and they have seen better days. The passenger side spring pack is dead due to a broken bump stop. I was never real happy with the AllPros since they sagged 2 inches in the first month just sitting in the driveway.
I was happy with the lift when I first put them on, but after they sagged I was not to happy and wanted the original look and lift back.

I put the body lift on so the the 36s would not hit, but with the spring dieing, that did not help much.

Question: Who is running the AllPro front hanger and 44044s and running 38s? What wheel should I run, 15x10 w/2in BS???

Currently running 36 Sxs on 15x8 with 4 in BS.

All your hep has been great so far, keep it coming.......

:D

maybe you can built a taller hanger and run a bit longer shackle to get back where you wanna be? the allpro springs might sag a lot, but they are as good as ANY spring for performance in real trail situations....

i use 2 allpro hangers welded together because my original one bent out at the ears. i had the 4 inch springs. now i run the 3" springs to get it back lower since i had to(lazy and just welded it under the other) double up the hangers...

dont give up on those springs yet, youve already paid fo them....:D

dont get me wrong, allpro sells a lot of overpriced crap, but those springs arent in that category...IMHO....

I would keep running the springs, but they never provided enough lift for 38s except when they were new. After the original sagging, they barely fit my 36s.
Now that one of the springs is dead(negative arch siting on level ground) I need to replace them anyways.
This is why I was thinking 44044.

Besides, I cant afford the shipping costs from California anymore.

My Rock Guards cost over $80 in shipping. This totally negated the great price on the Rockguards to begin with.

I am running 44044s with a home made front hangar,an exact copy of all-pros(1.5"forward 1"down)on my 90 x-tra cab 1.5 inch longer then stock shackle,to match in the rear I am running chevys with 2" AAL and a 2" block, also have a 3" body lift.....yes its very tall:flipoff2:
37ssr don't rub and tomorrow I am putting on my buddys 38 14.5 sx's(I think they will rub,but just slighty.oh I have not trimmed any of the fenders.)
my axle is about 3 inches forward compared to a stock sa truck and the drag link and tie rod hit when drivers side is compressed:(

I am very happy to read this post as it is very close to what I am doing.

I plan to order my allpro SAS kit with 3" springs today. I will install a 2" body lift and want to run 37" boggers or 38" TSLSX. Sounds like I was close on guessing what will fit. I plan to cut as little as possable as much as necessary.

Going to do this to a 1988 4Runner, with 60s F&R.

I'm running the AP hanger/44044 combo without a body-lift. I run TSL 36's and it works out just fine. Here's a pic of it sitting statically to give you an idea of lift...

I've got the All Pro hanger (mounted backwards to move the axle forward) 44044s and a 2" body lift. My 35's rub pretty hard on the front of the cab when they are stuffed. The 44044s will sag. I think I've had mine on there for almost 3 years now. You've seen my truck Booger, it's not that tall...

what year is your truck?is it older then 89,I think the newer body style has more room in the fenderwell because with an inch more body lift my 37's don't rub at all.thats with the springs well past flat(need bumpstops) and the wheels turned either way

I just hammered the seam in the inner fender down and it doesn't rub at all. The 44044 will easily go into negative arch, but I don't plan on running bumpstops. I'll just take advantage of the extra travel and if/when the springs ever sag out too much or bend, I'll just slap another set on. :D

Thanks guys.

It looks like I will be fine with the 44044s and the 38SXs.

I am just trying to keep up with the Big Dogs in my club...

Gotta go bigger to stay on the same trails......
