I just finished my hi steer install and now my front wheels look like this / \ WTF?

does it need more shims under the steering arms ???

Did you put the shims from the origninal steering arms under the hy-steer arms? How about poroperly toruqing the bolts? (57 ft.lb.)

Also check you're toe-in. Excessive toe-in (or toe-out) can do cause the wheels to be slanted in or out as well. That's probably the cause, at a wild guess. Should be ~1/8" toed-in.

yea I left the original shims in place. I figured the / \ was so bad I was a waste of time to adjust to toe. Now I'm thinking about it though it sorta makes sense, if the drag link was way to short when I tightened down the steering arms..

what do those shims do anyway???

All they do is set the knuckle bearing pre-load, they don't affect camber.

keep the "trunion' bearings preloaded with a certain amount of load. how can you get such negative camber?

I have skys and am super happy with it....Now as for the /\...did you measure you stock rod eye to eye and then make your x-over rod the same lenght?? I did it that way and then re-adjusted from there since the arms on each are not the same (duh) but it was a good point and mine came out right on the money. Also it will look different if you are off the floor weight wise or on the floor with the forces on it.
