Remind me never to let you into my garage! :flipoff2:
After seeing them up close at the Offroad expo and in my garage, I strongly believe that the Spider 9 is the finest axle in existence. The custom outers that they build are indescribable. Truly amazing. I am not going to be using them for a whole host of reasons relating to fitting them under a rover, but they have to be the best option out there.
But, the first couple of Pics are a ROVER TRACKS axle joint. I’ll have more on this when I start up my last buildup thread but it is a frekin sick system Keith came up with.

I guess I'm outta the loop cuz I drive D2- What do you guys have brewing?
isabellaclarke 11-05-2008, 05:53 PM Man...remind me to never apply for KOH, my wallet would never recover. Looks good. I assume you're keeping the rear axle with what you have?
Buckon37s 11-05-2008, 07:39 PM I guess I'm outta the loop cuz I drive D2- What do you guys have brewing?
It's all Kieth. I had nothing to do with it other than I am going to do my very best to break it. I will let him spill the details or wait for the buildup thread.

Holy crap, no kidding. This isn't even the expensive part!:  I had no plans to do any of this. Really. I had a good rig that ran really well and gave me 8 trips in a row at the hammers without a break. I felt pretty good about it. Then two things happened. I saw some of the rigs I was competing against up close, and a friend who knows much more than me said this:
"You don't bring your go slow shit to race day".
Welcome to the snowball effect. At least I can say this, by the time I'm done I may have the least breakable rover in existence! :flipoff2:
edit: What do you mean keeping the rear axle with what you have?

Now that there isn't a secret!!!!
And of course the goal!
At the low low price of only one arm and one leg!!!!
Now we just need to put a pair of these on!!!
I've been recommending Tom Woods for Driveshafts forever, And actually sell some to folks that would rather have me deal with the #'s
I just got the latest product and all I can say is "WOW!" This is the cat's meow!! I've never seen anything better!
revor 11-05-2008, 08:01 PM Hmmm no yellow star?
WTFU? Lance?
Colorado Scott 11-05-2008, 08:28 PM Drive shafts? I was hoping for some new and improved exotic axles that were gonna save the Rover world.

I don't know what Kieth is talking about with the Driveshafts? You may very well get what you want!
I'll be running JE Reel drive shafts.

Me too, I may have to do a Spider9 up front simply because I refuse to buy GBR CV and the Toyota swap is "common" now, I either want to stick with drop in Rover parts, or cool and exotic:homer:
Keith, what are you working on, post it in black text and it'll be the same as keeping it a secret, but better:flipoff2:
Michele 11-06-2008, 04:40 AM Ditto,

Buckon37s 11-28-2008, 12:56 PM Well,
Not much progress, but I figured I would give a little update before I leave for my trip. I will be gone for 11 days but when I get back I will get the suspension buildup thread going!
In the mean time, a little more parts pron. Thanks Kieth and PORC. I will have a thread on the super secret Rovertracks rear shortly! :grinpimp::smokin:

DiscoDino 11-28-2008, 04:30 PM Buck - you SUCK! I've planned and replanned my next steps on my truck to run steering rocks and everytime you post something you fawk those plans up...:flipoff2:
isabellaclarke 11-28-2008, 06:03 PM Nice! What's the WMS of that axle? Maybe it's just the pics, but it looks huge!

Yep. I'm making zero predictions! I think we could do really well. We could also have massive breakage right off the start!
Buck - you SUCK! I've planned and replanned my next steps on my truck to run steering rocks and everytime you post something you fawk those plans up...:flipoff2:
You know I am selling my 9/60 and rover 9 almost complete for a smoken price, right? ;)
Oh, the wms is just under 65in. Outside of tire to tire should be 80in if I am doing the math right.
