ok so im a newbie here on pirate so i figured i post up my build and a little about me. the truck is a 1983 c-10 that was my street/ daily driver for 2 years till i tore it completly down to the frame. did a full resto to my taste. the truck had a 350/350hp crate motor in it that a stole for my circle track car that eventually got sold. the truck sat for about a year untill i just purchased a house with a 2 car garage:).Im really sick of the street truck / race seen because it seems like your not cool unless your c-10 is bagged with 20 inch rims (wich i hate :mad3:) or you have to have a full tube chassis and go 10s to get respect at teh track. So i figured wtf ill make a wheelin rig out of it. Im a single guy with a morgage, car payment, student loan, ect so the build will be slow but my goal is to be done for april 1st. i went to high school for automotive and spent my high school years at a race shop building engines. i worked in the field as a tech for 3 years till i landed an awsome job working for general electric as a tig welder. so as you can see the mechaical and welding i got coverd but ill definitly be looking for so direction on what way to go so i hope ill find some help on here.

^^^^ haha read the title its being converted so far i got a dana 60 for tyhe rear and i just picked up a full blazer rolling chassis for free with a 44 front. the 60 has 4.10s but the 44 only has 3.08s so im loking for a set of 4.10s for the front.

just picked up a 208 t-case and front and rear shafts out of a different blazer at the bone yard this weekend along with a full tbi harness and throttle body to efi the mill i got sittin in my garage

EDIT: ...and just an FYI...we like pics. You've posted two...one of a 2wd pickup and the other of a 2wd rolling chassis...no pile of parts that are going into the build (except in the (R) hand side of pic there appears to be either weather strip or the harness you picked up), no materials, no tools, just a purple used condom on the floor near the front (L) tire........LOL

o well i was told it was a 44 not that its a big deal cuz the whole roller was free anyway and im not plannig on runnig a huge motor or tires anyway so i think ill be ok this is a budget build

ok i know i havent posted in a while but really busy other shit but did find some time to address my floor situation. the cab wasnt all that great so i just went and got rid of all that i didnt like and did it my way for the seats.

i built a frame from 1x2 swuare tube and then built separate seat brackets out of 1 inch square

im going to be cutting off the bottom of the bed sides after the wheels. and taking a section of bed out between the tail lights and wheel opening as much as much as the leaf spring will let me ill post up pics tonight

waitin on some some cash flow to get the front perches i want then ill get started on the front diff. as far as the rear i already installd the 6 inch spring and im supposed to be picking up a 14ff this weekend if all goes well
