I'm thinking of doing a frame swap on my 82 CJ-7 with 'glass tub, and I'd like to lengthen the wheelbase. I've seen on Advanced Frame Works web site that they offer a bobbed CJ-8 frame, but AFW is closed today so I can't get any info. What are the differences between a CJ-7 frame and a CJ-8 frame besides the body mount locations and wheelbase length? Are there any issues other than body mount locations that I'd need to deal with in making this swap?

there won't be any problems if you get a glass tub for a cj-8, I know jp off road offers an alluminum tub that is bobbed. the front halfs of the frames are the same, just the longer mid section and rear section (if you get one thats not bobbed) and the body mounts to match. It would be much easier to replace the tub as well if you put in a '8 frame, or else lengthen your current body to fit.
