I have 38.5 super swamper sx's on my toyota, and Im wondering how my front axle will hold up. I know that I will brake birfields, but I guess what I realy want to know is how will my steering knuckle hold up. I heard that the 38's put so much pressure on my axle that it rips the steering arms and the studs that hold the steering arms on right out of my axle. Is this true?

keep all the nuts and studs tight, and but some longfeilds then you should be set, sorta

bir fields are all you ahve to worry about. Buy some longfields, then if you wheel hard enough, start worrying about the inner axle shaft. teh knuckles will be fine. The only reason people are ripping steering arms off is that they don't keep them tight.

Yep, just keep those steering knuckle bolts torqued to the proper specs, and you'll not have any difficulties.
A lot of folks don't know that once you change steering arms, or when you wheel hard with lockers and large tires, you need to check all kinds of bolts.
Some regualar PM will serve you well. The old addage, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" fits well here.

I am looking to do a Waggy spring swap on my 84 Toyota, and looking to do a X over steering, and run 35's. Will I have too muck lift for 35's?? I also have a 3in BL.

I was looking at your web site and looked at the 84 Toy, one suggestion- The square tubing that is running along the frame (I assume for a flatbed). I would either move that tube inwards or notch it. As soon as the rear wheels stuff, the tires will rub that tube and prevent more articulation.

You need D44's and I happen to have two that I would trade for those weak Toyota's:D I'm running 14.50x38.5 sx's on my old junk just fine. Just do a little pm as stated before, this applies even if your running 1 ton gear.
