Anyone have any suggestions to keep my pinion parallel to the ground with f150 springs? I don't have them mocked up, but I am pretty sure with a sr the pinion is going to be pointed down towards the ground. Normally the perches are rotated, but it isn't quite so easy with the 60. I searched the boards, but didn't really see any ideas that I liked. I don't want to shave the perch on the housing, or weld a shim to it. I also don't like the idea of dropping down my spring hanger.

Has anyone seen or done something different?

I am thinking that I may have to run wagoneer springs, which I believe are flatter- can anyone confirm this. I already have the f150s in back and I love them! I had BDS springs that were pretty flexy, but there is no comparison!

Anyone running f150 or waggy springs on the front with a 60? How did you work with this problem?

I am going to search back through the waggy spring discussions, but right now I would prefer to run the fords.

All info is appreciated, thanks, Caleb

You need to come up with your own solution since you have ruled out the most popular solutions. The best way is to lower your front spring hangers, weld on shims. and recess the shackles in the frame. If you are leaving the D60 full width, you can't recess the shackles. I would go with shorter springs and skip the F150s for the front. The stock Waggy springs should work out good for you since they are fairly flat. Check out the Toy section for all the Waggy info you could ever want.

Thanks for the response. I just love the length of the ford springs though, so I may just have to compromise a little. Or check out the waggy rears.
Thanks again, just thought maybe someone had seen something I haven't seen yet.
I def. want to keep a good approach angle, so I guess shimming would be the best choice.

Jimmy.. Do you have any pics of your front traction bar??

Calileo.. On my D60, I wanted to point the pinion up some more so I welded a 6* shim onto the perch cast into the diff housing. If you do this you also need another shim to fit between the top of the spring pack and the plate that bolts to the housing.
