Really, how important are fenders? I know that rocks and debris will be slung by the tires. Now since adding Boggers (18") my jeep is too wide for driving between the fenders. Also, the option of driving over the fenders is no longer an option. They are getting pretty beat up.
My question is, Do I get some 1/4 plate and make some drivable fenders, or just f-it and leave them alone?
Thanks, Ricky...seeya...

1/4" x 2" square tubing over the top of the fender will do fine. You can use a little bit of expanded steel on the slope to give you traction if you need it. You could also just make new fenders out of some heavy guage chit and beef the hell outta them. You do need to keep fenders on it though.

My friends trailer, that we both use to move a lot of fullsize trucks with 38"+ tires. We had the local Menanite(sp?) bend up and weld on some 1/4" steel diamond plate, for fenders. Drive over them all day with bigblocks and they never move. Also only cost $50 to get it done.
