I was hitting garage sales today, and a guy had a miller 250 amp AC welder for 75 bucks. What do they go for anyway?

Next sale had a wirefeed 125 amp for $500 I think it was a lincoln.

I don't have the $500, but the miller got me thinking........Hmmmm, I can have all sorts of people become my "best friend", come over and drink my beer while I weld on their trucks.

for $75 bucks you cant go wrong with a big stick welder, no matter the brand, not sure on prices, but $250 and up for pretty much any good arc welder.
$500 for the 125? sp125 maybe? if so, i think those are about $350 brand new. i guess it depends if you really want a small wire feed, but for another $150 or so you could get a new millermatic 130.

Yeah, the wire feed is a Lincoln SP125 Plus with argon tank.

pretty sure the sp125 is 350 at home depot, doesnt come with gas, so thats another 100ish, and a smal bottle like 55 lb is about 60. so hes asking about full price, if its like new and you talk him down 100,,,,,,,it all just depends what its worth to you. something like 120 wall tube would really push it though, duty cycle is probly only 10% at full tilt. nothin wrong with it, gotta start somewhere righ?
