: Is there is difference in air boxes? YJ/XJ JeepinDoug 08-10-2002, 01:18 PM I'm gonna put a air box in my CJ. I got a XJ box for dirt cheap but the mounting base is awkward in a CJ. Is a YJ box a lot different at the mounting base? Hopefully so to make an easier fit, I'm already have very little space in my enigine compartment. Thx in adv. If you look inside the air tube right off of the YJ air box, it has a air restrictor in side it. All you have to do is pry it out and you get the same HP as the XJ. I can use 5th gear since changing and have a wider powerband. | |
