I am looking at a 1998 limited 5.9 grand cherokee with a 3.5 tuff country lift and 31's no modds just plane and stock. with a 128k. just looking for your opinion on them. thanks

Crazy power, but it has its quirks just as anything else out there..

Aluminum center rear 44 eats bearings
Big motor small hole = overheating issues
T-case tends to wear out and lock front and rear axles together...


My t-case locked the front/rear axles... took out the front d-shaft and now its just RWD... Will it ever smoke off the tires now:D


Swap the axles and t-case and you've got a hell of a grocery getter....

fun rigs, lots of power, suprising amount of aftermarket support. axles are probably the weakest link, but this is a problem easily remedied. screwy as any other zj unfortunately.
