How much strength is lost when tube is mitered instead of bent? My buddy has made some b-pillar hoops like this cause his bender can't make that tight of a radius. Gusseted and plated of course. This would be outside behind the cab on a play cage nothing totally extreem.

yeah those would be better but i made a cage like your describing and it took alot of abuse.
have used pipe fitters 90's then gusseted this held up well also...

I used butt weld 90s on my cage. dunno how good it worked I haven't even flopped it...
