I have noticed a handfull of pictures on here of leafed XJ's running Ford d44 axles up front. I see that most are running a long drag link, with an off center mounted tie rod up to the pitman arm. What application do these come from? I never was a big Ford man, but my axles, 78 f-250, has a short link from the pitman arm, back to a highmount, than a solid drag link to the left front.

The style your talking about is an "inverted T" style, that was used on the F150 D44s, the F250s used a diffrent setup.

OK here is the big one. Will the f150 setup work on the 250 style 44 housing?

Thnaks for all. I read the TOTM, and thats what I have in mind. I noticed the steering setups used looked pretty simple, compared to the BS that was on this f-250. Thanks again for the links, it should help me out.
