: Nov. 22nd Crozet run

I'm hoping to have my jeep all back together and ready to rock by Nov. 22nd. Eric (pipehitter) is thinking about going and I've spoken with Chris (Vetteboy) and Nick (53guy).

I just figured I'd invite the rest of you east coast unibodies and we could have an end of the season run (although enclosed cabs make winter season a lot easier). Let me know if you can make it, Crozet is in central VA, near Charlottesville.

To add some tech, if you are trying to run a 231-300 doubler with a driver side drop, you need to drill 3 new holes on the back of your transmission. The bottom three holes need to be relocated to the left. Pull the studs, cut a hole in the floor, slide the tcase on and mark where your new holes will be. Drill 7/16" and use a carbide bit or reamer to perfect your holes until all 6 studs fit. I will have pics soon.

If I'm not running lockers and massive tires, am I gonna be able to come along? I'm in Lynchburg, and I've been curious about this place for a while. I'm not worried about body damage, just wondering if I'll be able to hang. For the record I'm working with 3" lift, 30x9.5's and cut fenders.

Yes, still come. You might not be able to do some trails, but the way the place is built, its not hard to follow and if you can't do it, bypass it. Even then, its a blast to ride along with someone if you decide not to crawl.

I did a run at Rausch last January called the Frosty Balls Run. It didn't get above 20* all day, a bunch of snow everywhere, they had to close a lot of the West property because of dangerously icy conditions, and it was in the single digits waking up in the morning.

That was fun. :)
