I'm new to the 4x4 community and was wondering if there were any clubs in El Paso

I seen your pic in the pic of your rig post. Judging by that pic you'll fit in with just about any club in the area. Most of them have mildy built vehicles. DesertXLizard does alot of runs around the area that will let you run your rig to its limits and they do alot of runs and events sponsored by and affiliated with 4 wheel parts. OlSkool likes to to get out in the mountain trails alot and he does an overnight camp/run just about once a month.

cool, so far i've got plans on improving the rig a whole lot. i snapped a spider gear my last day home before heading back to the mid-east, so i'm getting a full width dana 44 and 9", lengthening it 10", doing a "back half" to it, putting a TH400 and twin stick Dana 300 in, the axles will be 5.13 geared with ARB up front and probably a Detroit in back, and going to try to run 36x12.50 IROK's on it. should be VERY capable by the time i'm done. just too bad i'll miss out on the chile challenge coming up ...
