a few weeks ago a friend called me @ midnight on a friday night. he was on his side on ROAD 21. i went to help him and ended up breaking an inner and outer axle on my dana 44 front end. took me awhile to get new shafts, since they are custom length. just got it togater. drivers side wheel doesnt spin when im engaged in 4wd. no strange noises at all. hub works, new shafts. pass. wheel locks in fine. do they break and not make noise? DAMNIT!! IVE READ some threads and they are not warrantied? friends just called this morning and want to goto moab this weekend. any thoughts?

I bet it broke when you broke the shafts. If you can't get a new locker find a stock carrier and weld it up.

now im real confused. took the detroit apart and it all seems fine. cant fin any broken parts. hmmm
Possibly the hub is damage, i would take it apart and inspect it...the next thing I can think of is possibly that your custom shaft is too short, thus not going completely into the carrier...
Just throwing some ideas out...

Your locker looks fine to me. Both tires should be turning when you are doing that. Check the passenger hub and the shaft may be too short and not going into the carrier as snake said.
Ok 2stroke....look at this link of mine.....are all 15 little square teeth there?(on both couplers)...all it takes is for one to break off and wedge the coupler open.... http://dreamwater.com/zuk/detroitsoftlocker.html
