A few weeks ago I got a CJ7(project) and maybe it will be pulling double-duty (think PSC adventure jeep). I have been gathering parts together, and cant find a tilt steering column; i dont have a cage in it, so i cant do a steering column tie-in. and i cant find anyone selling a standard column, who doesnt WANT MY SOUL FOR ONE:mad3: i do need one thats tilts, but i was wondering if any other one would work for it?(YJ maybe).... or any advie on where to look?

Thanks in advance,
joel

Almost any steering column out of 80s chevy truck will work. It's about 4" longer but the ignition switch is the same, just a few mods to the steering shaft and it should bolt up no problem. These are easy to find too.

I've got a YJ column in my CJ5. It works great and was pretty much a bolt in swap. The only thing a little tricky is that the steering shaft has different fittings. Might require cutting and welding together two shafts. I am running a YJ box, So I simply used all YJ steering stuff. Bolt in swap pretty much. Works great for me.
