Can someone tell me the basic measurements for the rear Caddy Eldorado callipers that everyone suggests that you use in rear D60 disk conversions.

It's a bit hard to find a set here in Oz, but I want to get all the brackets made up. In photos they look nearly the same as the callipers used in late 80's waggys.

Anyone got any good detailed photos of them or can they make some measurements of any for me?

im am 99% sure they are the same size as a 73-91 dana 44 and corp 10 bolt front caliper

He is right but it is the ones from a 78 eldorado not the 85 seville.

bolt pattern is the same, just that the el do's have an e-brake..

go with line locks or DS mounted e-brake. I have the TSM kit using el-do calipers and the ebrake is non-existent.

Not on the 2 I have. The calipers from the seville are smaller in size so they won't work in 1/2 ton backing plates.

Me too, I never got around to having cables made. These things suck. They're adjusted by the p-brake arm so I have to crawl under there and adjust it every few weeks. I'm just going to throw on a set of 81 K10 calipers I have and mount the p-brake on the transfercase. Anyone know how to get a rotor on an NP205 without buying a new driveshaft?

why would you need to replace the calipers? The e-brake part is seperate from the regular brake rigt? I got the ebrake but have' ran a cable to it yet

Here you go I think they are on 76-79 Cadillac Eldorado's rears

right, but the 78-79 eldorado, and I believe deville, do fit the 1/2 ton backing plates

my experiance with these the ebreaks suck anyway, so a line lock and a tire block may be a better way to go <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

76-78 Caddy rear calipers have a 7" pin spacing.
79-85 Caddy rear calipers have a 5.5" pin spacing.

How thick of a rotor are the caddy calipers designed to work with?

Mine are Mid-80's GM 2wd 1/2 ton truck front rotors if that helps.
