Anyone have any suggestions or tips on how you have mounted a steering orbital valve on a unibodied rig? I am needing to mount a new orbital valve on my ZJ. I am sure the process for a XJ and ZJ would be similar....

I just made a bracket, welded to the unibody, cut down the steering shaft, and bolted it in.

Yeah, there's plenty of room to work with.

it's got enough ass, but when the tires are tied up in the bigger rocks it get really hard to turn the steering wheel without giving the jeep some gas for some reason...:shaking:but for all intensive purposes it works fine....

What pump are you running? Stock one? Did you mod it at all? Sounds like a flow issue.

Assist sucks because you have to deal with dumb mechanical linkage, I am going full hydro in december! My plan is to just weld a bracket anywhere it will fit, I am going to be running airshocks in the front so space might be a little tighter

No one aswered the question of the pump....What pump are yall running? I am going to go full hydro with my jeep, and I have the 4.0L. Did you have to change or modify the factory pump.

Just leave the orbital in the stock steering box location and use the psc column adapter. Mount the orbital to a fabbed up plate and then bolt the plate to the stock box location.
