I have been reading a lot about combining these two cases to get very low gears.... I was just wondering if any 203 could be used--- if it helps I have one off a 77f250---
and do any of you have links to more info about this? like a procedure to get them together or pics or anything???? any help would be great...

The expensive part is the 203 output shaft. Offroaddesign takes a new one, softens it, machines the splines, rehardens it back to factory specifications. Wagoner Machine Shop also makes a doubler kit. They are also about $700-750. I am not sure if they reharden the splines after they are done machine them on the 203 output shaft.

The rest of the kit is nothing to big. Plate, adapter etc...

Check This Article Out (http://www.bc4x4.com/tech/2000/gordtcases/gordtcases.cfm)

He made the plate himself and had Moser shorten/respline the output shaft.

I have just finished up a 203 to Dodge 241 adapter. My cousin is a tool and die maker, and he did all the machine work. I sent 2 ea 203 main shafts to Moser, one as a spare. All in all if you don't do the machine work yourself I think that ORD has a very fair price. By the time I would add up all my time, my cousins, and the cost to moser the ORD would absolutly be cheaper. At the time I started my project they didn't offer a kit for a 241, I don't know if that has since changed. I wanted more gear options, and the ability to easily clock the case.

WMS offers the 3:1 gearset for the 203.
It consists of milling the case to accept the larger gears and then TIG welding a strap around the case to re-strengthen it.
As for the shaft, yes they re-harden.
I was quoted 1750. For the 3:1 gearset and doubler ready to bolt up to my Ford NP 205.
I just need to find a Ford 203 to get this thing rolling.
So if you don't have a use for your 203,.......... I DO!! :D
