the plans for my 75 bronco are simple... big tires-- 40ish
and to have a good flexy trail rig/rock crawler.
but I am in a bind about how exactly I should do this.

I plan on putting full width 60's in, and strectching the wheelbase a little. so should I just get new nationals and pivots for the rear, and a wristed arm for the front??? or should I just go to 3 or 4 link and run coilovers or something with links? I know the rigs with links will flex to the moon.. but is it worth going to that or will the normal springs be enough for me???

It's all a matter of personal preference. Now get off the computer and get out to the garage and get started. :D

hey samurai.. believe me I would... just saving the money now. by winter I should be well on my way...
I hope we get a stampede....
and I have never personally had experience with a link type suspension, only the "normal" type
how does the performance compare????

if it is done correct it is traction to the moon. (no pinion wrap) you set it up for how you wheel. its the shit if you do it correct and its your worst enemey if its not correct.leafs are easy and cheap if you have the time and mony for some good parts then go for it.:D

I was thinking of going simple... and I might... I'm to the point right before you start to do major mods and am getting the jitters.
I just want it to perfom...
body doesnt matter I'll hack it off...

and oh yeah guys... I believe the stock wheelbase is around 92"........ I was gonna stretch it to around 102-104 and was wondering.. I should move the axles the same amount each right? as in 5" back as well as 5" forward

Does anyone have pics of a bronco with the stretched wheelbase???

RIGHT ON THE NOSE THERE, Jerk!!!

I ran my Scout II for 7 years and spent millions trying to keep it out of the trees! You just can't fight that gravitational pull between large metal panels and solid, unmoving objects. Parted out my poor Scout, kept the best parts(the 60's and the 38's) and built a Suzuki Sidekick! From one extreme to the other. I say do whatever will get you back on the trail with the least money and engineering involved. Besides, Frankie is too busy helping me with my self inflicted headache to be able to fully concentrate on any one else!!!:D

easycheesie just cut off some of the mounts from a old front axle and weld them on the rear axle and then turn the arms around a mount them with the new james duff bracket or make your own then you can run rear coils or coil overs or some slinkys will work to.also the duff arms are longer than stock and have a big fawkin heim and i think they have a new axle mount to sombody knows dont worry they will share i would maybe moove your front axle forwards only 1'' or so and moove the rear the rest you will still have to hook up your steering and trac bar so dont get crazy.:D

That thing doesn't count... it's not an EB... it's a monster in bronco clothing... but you're right it's a VERY nice rig.

As far as it goes get to dovetailing the rear and narrowing the front immediately...it's the only way to avoid a body catastrophy.
