Seems some folks don't like my "email for quotes" policy.

:crybaby::crybaby:

"well I will just buy somewhere else then"

Sounds to me like I just avoided a problem customer :D

Just to clarify.

I don't do quotes by pm, it causes too many problems. Email means I have a trail/record of the conversation and I am not limited to 750 messages like in PM. It also means all conversations are in a single location, not one a half dozen different forums (yes some folks send me the exact same PM on every single board :shaking:)
And I definately do NOT go reading every single thread on this board looking for where people say "PM me a price for xxx" It just isn't going to happen. If you want to know the price on something and can't look online then send me an email. I just can't go chasing for new customers.
I also believe we have over 2000 items in the store now. I do not have all the prices memorized. I can not access the store from work, also can't access email from here. So when I get home I sit down and reply.

I only accept order via the web. First and foremost it prevents errors and they don't get lost. Plus I have all the info I need about the customer in a single place. As the order status changes auto emails are sent out, and you can always, easily, check your order status.

Thats basically how SRP works. If you don't like it you are free to spend more else where. :flipoff2:

Pete, you might want to edit your sig line to say

"E-mail is better THAN PM for quotes."

There is always a ~5% dickhead pool of customers. Always conduct business on your own terms. If they don't like it, they can go fuck themselves.

Have you considered disabling the PM option on the problem boards (calguns, etc.). Then they have to email you.

ya but the satisfaction of tellin a PITA customer to "pound sand" makes up for any short comings.

and funny story. after SEMA I asked Lance if workmans comp covered going to rehap. Told him my job duties of hanging out drinking with clients was turning me into an alcoholic. :laughing:

Oh yeah, and if you saw something listed on my sight on Sunday, and it was listed as free, but didn't decide to buy it today, after I found the error and fixed the price to 75$, and expect me to sell it to you for free...
