What is the OD of a Toyota axel?
If it is the same as a Jeep axel a old Ubolt set up that would drag on the rocks, could be put om a spring under Jeep or Scout and get the bolt ends out of the way.
I can measure a 20, 44, and 30 axel my self but I have no idea what the tube dimensions on a 35 are.
Some one tell me why this would not work because if I am thinking correct it will.

The rear up to 85 are 2 3/8", The 86 and newer are bigger I think, the front is 3 3/8" with the full gusset on em.
This is what I got on mine anyway.

I am building one of my toyotas from scratch and havent got to the point of buying new u-bolts. But I need some u-bolts to hold everything together good enough to roll the truck around. Well, I hapen to find the stock u-bolts from my old wrangler. They work good. I have them on 3 corners, but the passenger front was obviously to big to use them...

Stock ones would be to short if you have thicker packs.

Besides, u-bolts are only $8 each. Buy some new ones...
