I'm considering buying a set of claws, but I wanted to get some opinion's on them first. My truck is strictly a trail truck. Mostly rockcrawling. So what's the scoop are these things any good? TIA

Get yourself some SX's, the claws are much smaller and skinnier (at least the 35/13.50's are) than there advertised size.

I can speak with some degree of knowledge on this since I have owned a set of BIAS Baja Claws for over a year now. My only complaint is the 35" claw actually measures in at around 33 1/4". They are a little noisy on the pavement but not too bad. I run mine at 4-5 pounds on 10" rims and no beadlocks. Haven't blown one yet. These things have been up and down all the tough trails, Rubicon, Barrett Lake, Fordyce and even some of the Hammers trails. I have hammered a set of rims to death with em and the tires show amazingly little wear. They are extremely tough tires and those side biters work like a champ. However, (you knew there would be a 'however') because they are so tough, they are not as 'sticky' on the rocks as some other brands but they're still pretty darn good. I would suggest the TSL/SX's, as a better rockcrawling tire but I'm still running my Baja Claws till I wear em out. That may be a couple years at the rate they're going. <IMG SRC="smilies/eek.gif" border="0">

My 35" claws(radials) only measure 33" to. They have been a good tire though, got 30k miles on them right now and have about 5-8k more miles to go.

If your looking for a big tire 38.5s they are every bit of it. if you have beadlocks you can make them work for you but unless you can air them down enough they are really stiff. 38.5x16 are perfect winter tires . in the summmer they tear up my steering in the winter they ROCK.

thanks for all the replies guys. You've been very helpful (as always). I love my TSL's so I guess I will stick with what I know works.
Thanks again
