Hi I recently bought 2 used locking differentials for my 1999 Jeep Wrangler, rear is a Dana 35 and front is a Dana 30. The Detroit locker that goes in the Dana 30 looks just like the pictures that you see in Qadratec and im certain it is a Detroit locker, now the front one looks a bit different than all the ones that I have seen on the internet, can anyone help me out and help me identify this locker. If anyone can help me on how to insert a picture without using the link id appreciate it.

I use photobucket. Copy the IMG file in photo bucket and simply past in any thread.
Looks like a detroit to me. But I may be wrong.

Hey thanks a lot for the picture, i was still working on how to get it on there and you beat me to it. Cool on it being a detroit locker i just wasnt sure it might be an older model as all the current pictures of it look different.

there are two versions for the gear split of the D30. Make sure this will work with your gears.

From what I can see that looks like a Power Lock differential. It is a clutch type unit, not mechanical like a Detroit. If you have it you can confirm it by it having two cross shafts that sit in a 'V' machined in the case. The ratio split for the Dana 30 is 3.73 and up numerically.
