: Fuel line/tank valve for calrocks comps???

Can anyone help me out here? What does this little valve look like, where might I get one, and where exactly would I put it? Thanks,

Jeff, if you are running a fuel cell, I would go to Jeg's and get a rollover valve. That is all you need, otherwise, I ahve no clue wehat you are talking about

Whats upwith the link? It says no part found??? Anyways, no fuel cell here, just a regular old gas tank.

Ok, I see it now, but still how about for a fuel tank? Same valve? If so, where the heck would I put it?

i think it only applys to fuel cell owners a stock system has a mesure for rolling over built in

try pegasus.com or an 800 number for them.
I believe they go in your vent line, everythingelse should be fairly safe.
They also are one of the few remaining places that carry grooving tips for Ideal brand grooving irons - which is how I srubbled across them.

This is true! In all the years that I've known Ron, I've never seen him break anything on his jeep!!! We will see though <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

I still dont get why the valve would help in the return line, because the return line meets up with the main filler, so if you have a non-vented cap, whats the difference?

if its vented to the filler and you have a nonvented cap how does the tank vent ? it would eventually stop running so either the cap has to have a one way valve or you have to run a nonvented cap and vent the tank separate from the filler in which case you need the one way valve

During the competition if your vehicle ends up on it's side or top and leaks any fluids you will recieve penalty points. Fuel tanks vent two ways (that I'm aware of), one is a vented cap the other is a vent line. If you have a vented cap it will leak past the cap when turtled, so you'll need the vent the tank, in that case you'll need valve that will shut off the flow of fuel from the vent line in the event of a roll. Sorry but we will need to enviromentally safe and sound. There may be some water type obstacles.
