NATIONAL MOTORCYCLE RETAILER LAUNCHES TRAIL ACCESS POINT OF PURCHASE PROGRAM

BENICIA, CA -- The largest and fastest growing retailer of motorcycle parts and accessories in the nation announced today that it is launching a Trail Access Fund to show their commitment to the sport of off-road motorcycling. Cycle Gear is teaming up the BlueRibbon Coalition, a national recreation organization, to help in the fight to keep our trails and riding areas open.

Cycle Gear with its twenty-six stores located from California to Connecticut will be actively promoting this point-of-purchase (POP) program in all aspects of it operations. They have offered to match any donation that a customer makes at the time of purchase either at the counter, through their catalog, or online.

Off-road legend and Cycle Gear owner, Dave Bertram, said, "I'm excited that Cycle Gear has teamed up with the BlueRibbon Coalition to protect and promote the sport off-highway vehicle recreation on public and private lands. I'm proud that Cycle Gear is the first major retailer to launch a national POP program that is specifically geared to benefit an activity that we all enjoy."

Don Amador, western representative for the BlueRibbon Coalition, said, "I know the many Cycle Gear customers that recreate on public lands will appreciate the fact that the Gear is also a strong supporter of the fight to keep our roads and trails open."

Its nice to see a company that can see the big picture here. KTM is another good example, they know that without places to ride, thier business will seriously suffer.

So what's up with the 4wd manufacturers and vendors. Surely Rubicon Express, Currie, or Dynatrac could pony up some dough to help the cause. They could be affected by a reduction of off highway space.

Next time you buy from a manufacturer or dealer, ask them what they have done to help keep our trails open.
