Well I am going to do a little intro because I am getting ready to by my first ZUKI!! I am ford man and I have even meddeled with those binder guys but now I am up for something new. I am getting ready to buy an 88 Sammy.

Engine: stock with headman header, with powersteering
trans : Stock 5 spd
Axles : Stock 3.73 r&p and lockrights front and rear
T-case: Stock with Rockcrawler 4.16 to 1
susp : spring over with wrangler springs, with an unfold shackle kit
Interior: linned floor boards, RJS seats and belts
Exterior: Custom cage, nefs, and bumpers and has been stretched 12"
Tires: 32x10.5 on 15x8 black steel wheels

the guy is in my club and he is going to sell it to me for around 2000. what does it sound like??

I would like to swap in an automatic any other suggestions??

Sounds like a great deal and looks like a nice rig.

What kinda wheelin you going to do with it? thatll help plan the upgrades... also how much you want to spend :)

Bout the only thing I would do is add a hybrid rear end and some 5.12 tracker gears. Other then that I wouldn't touch it.

Oh yeah and thats a HORRIBLE deal. You should give me the guys address and I'll buy it from him for a fairer price.:flipoff2: :D :D

Well I live in Indiana and so a lot of my wheeling will be at Attica, and other places like that. Probably tellico and other eastern wheeling spots.

I am not to big on mud I like to play on rocks and trails. I know I should search but I am gonna ask anyway. Will the sammy auto bolt up or should I consider another option.

Short Answer: Lot of work.

Long Answer: The auto will need to be from a tracker/sidekick and will require an adapter to run on the 1.3 engine. Also requires some tranny tunnel mods and new mounts and you will have to shorten the intermediate driveshaft between tcase and tranny. Then you will want to run a bypass switch to the lockup converter so you can go down hill slowly.

You can put a 1.6L engine in to avoid the adapter. Someone else might know about other auto trannys like toyotas or something.

No, right now it is black. In about 2 hours it will be copper.

I was just wondering because their is a white sammy that i have seem at Attica with a 350. and the engine looks pretty stuffed in their.
