My rear arb isn't ingageing the light on the switch goes on and the front will engage and disingage. Where should I start to see what the problem could be before pulling it out. When the lockers are ingaged the compressor isn't running so I'm pretty sure I don't have a leak, is it possiable that there could be a clog? If you have any experience with this please post.

Look for a pinched or melted line going to the rear locker...

Could it be a bad solenoid?

First off: Is this a new installation or one that has been working good up until now?

Disconnect the blue air line at the diff.

Turn the air locker on.

Are you getting air coming out the blue airline? Enough that you cannot hold you thumb on the end of the air line and seal it off?

Yes? Then the problem is inside, time to tear stuff apart.

No? Then the problem is further up stream.

Pull the airline off at the solenoid and turn it on.

Do you have a good strong air stream there?

Yes, then your problem is in the airline.

No? Then continue upstream.

Pull the elctrical plug at the compressor, check for voltage.

Yes, then a bad solenoid, rare, but it does happen.

No, then start going through the electrical. I could run through all that for you, but call ARB they have a nifty little troubleshoot guide that will run you through tesing the electrical components. 1-888-427-2872 ASK FOR TECH.

If your airstream is weak or non existant, then you may have a compressor pumping issue. Though that doesn't sound to be the issue if your front is working.

do what he said, but I would guess bad seal in the arb ( where the air line collar is )

Then the compressor would be running all the time the switch is selected...

A common problem with "older" installations, is the sealing rings in the air collar leak, allowing oil to be sucked back into the air tube, plugging it. Look at your solenoid for signs that oil is exiting the exhaust port.

well I found out what the problem was the solenoid fell off there is a plastic nut that holds it on that came off.

No. Maybe a "common" problem on older bad installations, but not on one put in correctly.

When you put the nut back on (if you found it) use a dab of silicone on the thread, kind of like Loctite, you won't lose it again.
