So I hav been offered a spot at the 1000 as a navigator for a very well known driver, but I only get it if I am good enough. Either way, I couldn't decline the opportunity. So I went to my buddy Mike Lyster and he offered his helmet graciously.
I look up on the rulebook and it says I am fine until 2010 with the M2005. I then find a post on RDC saying that SCORE changed and mandated a SA models, 2000 or 2005. Great, I am fawked right?
Nope, DJ Safety just pulled through and sent me a custom helmet with all the stuff I need. Next day aired to Jody Everding's house in Impreal. He'll bring it with him on Wednesday. It got sent to Jody's house cause I leave tomorrow to watch Shaffer finish the rig and then head down with Lance shortly after.
Either way, props to DJ Safety! I will se Lyster's Helmet for prurunning and then get mine from Jody when he arrives...
