Has any one used cj7 wide track warn full floater kit in a waggy mod 20? My cj7 20 housing is bent and has been twisted. I would like to use the thicker tubes, and install my detroit and the rest of the parts I all ready have.Any input Thanks. And yes I should have built a 6o from the begining.

99% sure the warn full floater kit will NOT work. The housings are different between teh waggie and the CJ. Thats why I'm dealing with making my own version of a bolt on floater kit. (getting close, just getting bid prices for some machine work.)

Are you talking about narrowing the Waggy housing to the CJ width? Obviosly, the shafts would be too short otherwise.

Yes ,narrow the housing to cj7 width, weld on the ends that match the spindles, and use the rest of my parts.

I know you have a waggie housing there.. but DAMN! wouldn't it be easier to find a CJ housing?

Yes, but the Waggy tubes are stronger.

If you can get the CJ ends welded straight onto the the waggy housing, I don't see a problem.

We did it a while back. Had a slight alignment problem with the spindle going on. The bearing "bucket" was off a wee bit. SInce you don't use that bearing in there anymore, it wasn't much of an issue. We shimmed the spindle on and it's been taking abuse for two years now.
