Alright heres the deal. Wanna get this thing off my chest.

Went wheeling on a semi popular trail (in El Dorado County) beginning on Thursday.

On Friday a group of Jeeps stolled in about 3:00pm. We noticed they were gathering firewood to obviously start a fire. We stolled over there and started a conversation with them, and amongst other things told them of the El Dorado County fire restrictions. The acknowleged the restriction as they also live in the county.

So about 8:00pm I notice a fire coming from their camp. I walked over there and asked them why they are starting a fire even though there are restrictions.

'What fire' a smart ass dick head answered.

Discussions went around for a while and some of their points were.

1) We have been coming here for 10 years so it is ok.

2) They know what they are doing so it is ok.

3) Its a small fire so its ok.

Well I anticipated some problems with them so before dark I took pictures of all their vehicles :flipoff2:

I told them I was going to post their pics all over the internet and report their club to Cal4Wheel (since they were running Cal4Wheel decals)

They got really upset about my threats and it was obvious they wanted to brawl. I walked away really pissed and that was that.

I looked over a little while later and the fire was OUT! :flipoff2:

If you are reading this, Thanks for putting out the fire. but I think you owe me a  for having a fire in the first place and causing the problems. No hard feelings on my end.

Lets keep the trails open. I am sure the sierra club members walking in with their lamas that day would of loved to get some pics of a nice fire near a bunch of jeeps!

Those fawkers really pissed me off! Even if they would of kick my ass (there was at least 4 of them) I would of got a few good throws in :D I would encourage everyone to take pictures of people if you see them gathering wood for a fire.

I love a good fire as does the next guy but this is not the desert! If you want a fire go to Johnson Valley!

So they said they knew what they were doing.

Lets just say that there wasn't a fire restriction....

Did they have a fire bucket nearby?

Probably not.

Good job and thanks for looking out for the forest and the rest of us.

So when are you sending the pictures to the forest servce with your description of the events... just cause they put it out doesn't mean they did not earn an official put it out and keep it out letter from the forest service... Oh yeah thanks for the great eyes, all of the wheelers need to do more of this kinda education work

Glad to hear support from you guys. Since they did put out the fire, not going to take it any further.

We wheelers need to stick together and take action when we see things that will affect the existence of our sport!

What you did took balls. We all need to protect what little freedom we still have and not let ass holes like those guys ruin it for everyone. Thanks
