I gotta ship one, it's all crated and ready to go. But I need a weight to get a shipping cost to the buyer BEFORE I take it to the Forward Air terminal. It's pretty complete, includes the intake & carb, alternator, fan, but no PS or AC parts. I searched, can't find it.
Any idea? I was guessing 350 lbs?

Toyota 18R-20R-22R 315 lbs
350 sounds about right, since this weight could be sans accessories.

I shipped a 22r long block in a crate and it went 350lbs.
my s/c'd 22r with all accessories and a few extra parts came in at 450 lbs including the crate.

Thanks guys. I think I'll go with 400 lbs, it should be close enough.
FYI... the final weight was 347 lbs. Here's a pic just before I sealed up the crate:

I made a "cradle" out of scrap PT 5/4" decking material, I used a crate that I got from a glass shop that they ship windshields in. I had to cut it down quite a bit, but the cardboard was very solid, good stuff (4 layers). Then I stopped at a local lumberyard and paid a kid out in the yard $10 to put a bunch of straps around it. Was a lot of work, but seems to be working great.
Oh yeah... shipping via Forward Air from BOS to SLC was $154.10. Thought this might be useful info for someone.
