heres the original(warning the thread is over 100 pages long and a bunch of boobs and beer induced bullshit):

took a bit more than 8 months to go from bonestock, to full blown, 'street legal' crawler...

i plan to replicate it in 2 months, in 1/10th scale

i currently have a 'built' axial scorpion with rooster craw,er, 65 turn integy, inboarded links and small mods to make it work better...

also have a bone stock RTR scorpion...

one of these will get to be the drivetrain for the mini SILVER BULLET..probably the RTR so i dont have fook up the very capable RC crawler the other one is.......

where did you end up getting the body from. I read ion your thread that someone said radio shack. I dont think the radio shack in chico has that stuff. maybe a hobby store???

That's awesome, Boog. Good work, I wish I could do some actual tube work and bumpers to my rig but can't weld and bend that stuff.

I'm converting mine to a droop only comp rig, got rid of my Krawler tires, got some Losi Rock Claws, and put in a special order for some 'custom' comp wheels. ;)

Can't wait to update every body on the revamped Grind rig.

I might have to look your way if I want to convert mine to a truggy & add some tube.
Keep up on the tube work, it's awesome.:D

thats the parma tundra extra cab part # 10156...i paid $24.99...then i just bought the extra cab tacoma body with the funky paint job for $40 from a guy on scale4x4rc.org...i doubt it will fit my current tube work, i think i might be redoing it...guess the first bumper was practise ...im doing a new frame anyhow(too heavy).........

yeah but some other tard got just sloppy over here.. who knows I might be that tard and forgot the pass word... :shaking:

you can use Y harness and add a servo to run off of a 2 channel radio but upgrading to 3 channel radio is the better way to go.. full time 4WS kinda sucks..

the gold bodied one i have just barely twitches a bit at small inputs in steering and throttle, but the new 'buggy' seemingly looses all power and has terets???

having soo much fun driving this thing, im kinda neglecting the frame and tube wrok...

bought a hobbico high torque servo with titanium gears...WOW! this thing can steer the truck off rocks like full hydro...also picked up a set of MIP driveshafts, theyre metal instead of plastic and definitely a step up from the stockers...

taking dimensions off my sons fat dog chassis and bending tube...maybe ill have a home brew tuber, or maybe ill have an ugly jungle gym type center piece for the dining room table??

the performance of these things is too fun to try and make a scaler(less capable and wide bodied), im now going for a tube chassis rig...wish me luck

yep thats me.. I have not got anything in the mail yet..

and yeah I think CDW outputs are in the 40 dollar range, I didnt really pay attention to the price there a must have upgrade if you start throwin any kinda HP at the trans.. I sheared my rear output right off my stock trans without much effort.. the longer rear shaft let you run a bigger spur and maxx shafts is a huge + in my book..

Those LED's are pretty sweet, where's the amber lights!?:flipoff2:
Did you go to the same dude I went to for the LED's?

Yeah, I also broke a drivers side knuckle with my sweet servo in a beer drinking crawling frenzy behind my waterfall, luckily I had those knuckles that come on the rear axle with those little shit links to hold them straight (made for the rear steer conversion), so I could go back out and play. Haven't broken one sense. I really don't have much of a problem running plastic knuckles/C's. I want to get the aluminum clockable C's though so I can adjust my steering camber which would improve my dig I believe.

I got some new parts in, I left my battery charger for my camera up in Bako, so I can't take any pics yet, but I should have it soon. I'll have to wait on the comp conversion for now. Nice pics Booger! hope you feel better today, and I finally recovered from my absinthe sickness just last night.

Actually its a water run-off just outside of a parking lot. For whatever reason Manteca decided to landscape it with rocks at the bottom, ended up being a great place to crawl. Its man made, but there are plenty of challenging lines.

I will be there wed night. Its somewhat lit at night so seeing isnt a problem in the dark.
