i love my scout even though there isnt much scout left on it. my problem is that i dont have much room in the cab. we like to camp on the trail, so its nice to have room for the dogs, gear, and shelter in the winter. I am thinking about starting build #4. stretch wheelbase about 9", swap a full (modified) tub with doors, and mabey windshield frame. OR do i make the "truggy" setup i got now bigger. like a 4 seater, i will get rid of the bed. I like rigs to have recognition. so i will try to make it look as much scout as possible. any suggestions ?

Only suggestion I can think of is to keep your left arm inside the cage. :flipoff2:

If you full body it your going to trash the body (looking at your current setup). If your cool with that, go for it.

If your not going to change your wheeling habits, but what it to look "good", *I* would suggest taking what you got, and make it into a 4-seater. If you want it fully enclosed then look at adding selective panels and body panels (and top) to get what you need, while keeping the functionality of the current truggy.

Tough call, I understand your dilemma.

You have a comp buggy thing going there, hard to put a body on there and keep the sheet metal. Is that a swing arm off the chevy pickup design?
If you need room get a traveler, bob the rear and put a Scout II top on it.

For year round wheeling I like some creature comforts, like insulated cab with windows and a heater.
I guess a rain suit or snow suit works, but gets old real quick once the sun goes down:shocked:

Edit.. I see your first pic has some rain protection

whatever design you go with,KEEP THE SCOUT GRILL!!!!!!!!!!! even if it's narrowed or modified, just so you will always have the scout nose(kinda).

Start over. Truggy. Take a Scout II and cut it off just behind the back seat. slight pinch on the sheat metal. Decent bulkhead. Then build a tube bed that matches the pinch on the body. Decent cage wrapped in super custom soft top. Should keep you warm and dry. Super short bed so you have room to haul the stuff you dont want in the cab. Pinch the nose and slope the hood for visibility. stretch the wb to 110-115. Done...

Oh yeah, post build pics when you start:flipoff2:
