Ok I've searched around and haven't been able to find anything. Where can I buy or how can I make some misaligment bushings for my rod ends to increase the movement capabilities.

I had the same dilema a week or so ago getting high misallignment for my draglink.

Using a piece of pipe of anything else is shite and wont give you near enough the flex you want - been there - tried that

What you need is an over sized rod end, spced down with hour glass spacers to give you the misallignment. These work even betterthan aircraft quilty Aurora rod ends with the misallignment built in (and they cost $126 each !).

For example, for a 3/4" bore, you need to get a 7/8" rod end and spacers. The spacers fit the 7/8" rod end, extend the ball to a complete sphere at each end and change the bore to 3/4".

Search for my recent post. Someone suggested HM Engineering in the LA area. We got some of his rod ends and and hour glass spacers and built the drag link. The flex is incredible, better than any tierod end I've seen.

I can take some pics if you want ?

Edited note: OK, here's a big pic to let you see what I'm talking about.

Not sure that I get it.
I'm working with rod ends with a 5/8ths bolt and a 3/4x16 thread on the rod.
These hourglass things sleeve inside the heim, so they cut down the inside diameter, so I can't use a 5/8ths bolt.
With a 3/4x16 rod end, I've been unable to find a heim big enough to leave me with 5/8ths (or even 1/2) ID for the bolt, and 5/8ths is as small as I'd go anyway, even if I were working double shear.
Baker Precision has high misalignment rod ends in chromoloy (actually stronger than stainless) that will give me this kind of flex, but they are about $60 each, and $110 for stainless if I wanted that.
Incidentally, they said most off road teams use chromoly because either type of rod end would wear out before it made a difference.
So in any case - anyone know how I can get a 5/8ths bolt to work on a 3/4 16 rod end with these spacers?
I really don't want a bigger heim since I've already got the linkages half built.
thanks

Yeah, I just called to price them and they said for a 3/4" RE it would have a .5" stud. I don't feel real good about that. This is a fullsize bronco with 38s and I GET IT AWN. Damn it I've already got the 3/4 heims too.

RE does make a reducer to use a 5/8" bolt in a 3/4" heim. I have 6 sets of them. They use them for their TJ trackbar...

Cool, I didn't know QA-1 actually had the bushings, guess I didn't look hard enough. I'll check them and RE out. Thanks
