I purchased a Stak transfer case and it comes with a 2003-2006 Jeep Wrangler VSS plug. I think it is the same as the 1997-2002 jeep also. There is a Red, orange, and black wire. Does anyone know what each wire is?

I did some searching and I found out on a YJ VSS the wires are:

+8----- Orange/white
VSS ground-----black
VSS to cluster---Orange

I imagine the black is still ground but what are the Red and orange now?

The center wire is always ground in the rubicon plugs. If the plug female side is facing you with the locking tab on the top, the right hand wire is the 5V supply and the left side wire is the Vehicle speed sensor signal wire.

That does help. I will try it. Also I was wrong on the colors on the VSS that I have. It is Tan, Black, and Orange. Thanks
