this carb came with a new project, and the only thing keeping the engine from running is the fact that the choke linkage is broken.
i've already looked at a rebuild kit, but it doesn't include this one little piece.
any ideas on where something like this can be obtained?

Dude, try a junkyard. There are literally millions of those carbs in pick n' pulls.

well, knowing what year the engine is might help (you that is) but any 70s to 80s (pre fuel injection) V8 (or in your case a straight 6) should have a donor carb like that.

i wish i knew. this is in a 74 toyota land cruiser, with a 292 chevy straight six from the late 60s.
great setup eh?

Straight sixes did not use the 2100.

Based on the date code showing on the corner of the carb, it is a mid 60's item (C indicates the decade, which would be the 60's, 5 indicates the particular year of that decade) could be a few years newer, depending on revisions or updates, but no older. I really like the Ford 2 barrel carbs, and have a big box of parts carbs, but I am pretty shure none of them are that old- none of them have that spring loaded pull down linkage that I can recall.

I guess I should have clarified that a Ford straight six or V8 from the 70-80s era should have that carb.

Nope. Ford I6's used 1 barrels. Primarily the carter YF.

V8s, and later, V6's for a 2100 series 2v.

Nope, that is an Autolite 2100, you're thinking of the Motorcraft 2150. The 2100 was pretty much gone by 1970. It's a better unit than the 2150 IMHO.
