: 345 Questions.
Jeepinyahoo 11-19-2008, 05:13 PM I have a 345 that I am installing in my Comanche. It has a 2bbl and I have a 4bbl manifold I intend to use. My question is two fold; What 4bbl carbs are good to use, I was hoping to use a Holley Truck Avenger, I don't know much about IH motors when it comes to performance and don't know what works best off-road and on? Power vs off economy and so on? Also, what type of power should I expect to get out of a stock 345 with a 4bbl?
Blind Driver 11-19-2008, 05:29 PM Why are you putting a IH engine in your Heep?:shaking:

You idiot, the Comanche is the limited edition of the 800b Scout that came out in 1971 and only 1,500 were made. I don't blame you for not knowing what one is because there are only 1,500...Now that you know you need not make the mistake again.
BTW, thanks for answering the question...its hard enough finding info on IH stuff already without this seemingly endless stream of nonsense that comes spewing from people at the first hint of a valid question. :shaking:
Blind Driver 11-19-2008, 05:54 PM Hmmm...you mention comanche...and you have Jeep in your name...hmm....:flipoff2:
You also have major butthurtness

you are a fucking idiot.
crashhawk 11-19-2008, 06:26 PM Fully tuned up stock 345 and a 4bbl should get you around 155HP. Not bad for a 750lbs engine huh?!
Very true on the butthurtness. There seems to be a recent epidemic of that here.
Oh and for all your future non-wheeling/ stock/ resto IH questions...

Jeepinyahoo 11-19-2008, 06:33 PM I'm not too worried about hp #'s, more interested in the torque output.
The '57 chevy in my 63 scout puts out 165hp and 260ft/lbs, not bad for 300lb engine...I'm hoping to do a little better than that with the 345.
I would ditch it completely but the Comanche is a rare and collectable IH and I don't want to use non IH parts on it.

Ahh I am sure that no one in this forum is aware of what a comanche is ... :homer:
I also wouldn't hardly call your question valid. Try the FAQ at the binder bulletin for IH engine specs like crash hawk said, And search on the carb shit Fucktard.

I especially am digging this classic looking Aristocrat. I particulary like how attention to detail was paid when doing the interior. Notice how they kept with the blue color scheme.
I also have what was an Aristocrat at one time in its life . It is awaiting a "Special" build. Heaven knows I couldn't bare to cut it up..

Now keep the rare/purest vomit to "other" boards or take a 5lbs minimaul to one of your doors then post pics. Until then your a worthless Troll.
